A few weeks ago, The 23rd Festival of Images and Words was launched with a beautiful party organized by Margarita Feliciano, the festival’s director. During the evening, some of the main events of the upcoming festival were revealed:

1) The Festival will start on September 29 with an art exhibition by Daniel Tomasini, a well renowned Uruguayan artist. The event will be held at Glendon Gallery and it will be absolutely free.

2) The festival will go until November 7 and will end with our traditional Friendship Dinner at the Columbus Center. That day will also feature an art exhibition by Chilean Artist Luis Ramirez, the launch of a photography book by Carlos and Gloria Castaño, and a retrospective book of Luis Ramirez’s work as an artist.
The official festival launch was attended by the consuls of Chile, Argentina, El Salvador and Uruguay, and many of the members of our community. We had music and great conversations. Everybody was really looking forward for this year’s festival.
